It's the quarterly watchlist roundup. This time I'm covering six shows I watched over July, August, and September: the bomb disposal thriller Trigger Point, Brenda Blethyn's saga A Woman of Substance, the Australian cozy mystery Return to Paradise, season four of The Chelsea Detective, the underrated Inspector Ellis, and season five of Professor T. For each one, I break down the synopsis, the stars and the characters they play, how audiences responded, and exactly where I land.

This week we dig into Gone, the six-part thriller starring David Morrissey and Eve Myles. Morrissey plays a private school headmaster whose wife disappears. Myles plays the detective on the case. We talk about the pace of the show, its stars, and what viewers thought about it. Gone is a mystery built on restraint, trust, and secrets. No spoilers, just a solid look at why this one should be on your watchlist.
