  • What I'd Quit Today, Part 2. Leaving Regret Behind
    Oct 21 2026

Today, we continue our Wednesday prayer focus on “What I’d Quit Today If I Wanted to Be Happier.”

Last Wednesday, we explored quitting the habit of instantly reacting to any news by spiraling into worst-case scenarios.

This week, we’re letting go of the “What-Could-Have-Beens.”

It’s time to leave regret behind—dropping the heavy baggage of old mistakes, missed opportunities, and failed relationships.

No more living through the rearview mirror, asking, “What if I had stayed?” or “What if I hadn’t messed up?”

Today, we choose to move forward, trusting that forgiveness, new beginnings, and happiness are possible.

    Let us pray.

Lord, I bring you my regrets and the weight of what might have been. Jesus, grant me grace to release the past—every mistake, every missed chance, every broken relationship, every bad decision.

You know my heart; I have wanted to honor you.

Thank you that your mercies are new every morning and that I am not defined by my disappointments and failures.

Help me grow in grace and gratitude, learn from what I’ve lived through, and trust you with what comes next.

Free my heart from fear, shame, and grief, and fill me with joy, hope, and your energetic life for today and my future.

Let me walk forward in the love of Abba Father, who gives confidence, courage, and peace.

Continue to write a new story in my life, full of hope and promise. Amen.

  • Prayer for Overcoming Burnout at Work
    Oct 19 2026

Good morning. Today, my prayer is for help with overwhelm and burnout in life and at work.

    Let us pray.

Lord, I come to you in humility, wanting to be honest, as I feel tired and exhausted. My soul is parched and needs your refreshment. I need a drink from your living water. Please revive my heart and restore my spirit with your presence.

Forgive me for the times I’ve relied on my own strength and forgotten to enter into God's gifts and grace.

May I align more closely with your wisdom in the boundaries you’ve set for my well-being, whether that means taking a sabbath or putting away my phone at certain times of the day and week.

Remind me that my true identity and value are found in Christ, not in what I achieve or produce.

Today, I submit to God and resist the devil. I let go of overwhelm, regret, and the heaviness of shame. In Jesus' name, I command every spirit of darkness, frustration, and oppression to flee from me.

Let the grace of heaven cover me, and may your peace and protection surround me.

Now, Lord, fill me afresh with joy, hope, and strength for the days ahead.

Renew my energy like the eagle’s, help me not grow weary in doing good, and let me walk forward with expectation, knowing you have a future full of promise for me.

    Amen.

  • What I’d Quit Today If I Wanted to Be Happier
    Oct 14 2026

Today, we’re focusing on letting go of the what-ifs and making room for God-shaped happiness in our souls.

I was raised in a home that always reacted to any news of any kind by running through every worst-case scenario.

Growing up, my dad, being a career military man and an officer, always had a plan B, C, or even F.

My mom, shaped by loss of her mother as a teenager and her years as a nurse, taught us to brace for bad news. “What if?” was the constant soundtrack in our home.

But I learned that while we can’t control what happens around us, we can choose not to let those things steal our joy or our peace or frame us with fear.

    Let us pray:

Amazing, gracious, kind, loving Father, thank you for inviting us to lay down the heavy burden of worry and what-ifs.

Help us today to break the habit of rehearsing every bad possibility and instead anchor our minds in your goodness and faithfulness.

Teach us to walk in our identity in Christ and hold tight to your promises. Help us trust your plans, even when our circumstances are uncertain.

Let your peace guard our hearts and minds, especially when anxiety tries to creep in.

Fill us with quiet confidence that you holds our future, and set us free from the negative loops of fear-driven thinking.

May we step into each new day with hope, peace, and joy that comes from you. Amen.

  • Working unto the LORD
    Oct 12 2026

Good Monday morning! I come to you today with a river of joy in my heart, grateful as I watch God breathe fresh life into our work, our vision, and our service.

This week, I was taken back to my early days of faith—fresh out of college, my mentor had me memorize John 3:16, and then said, "Now that you’re a working man, you need to know Colossians 3:23–24." That verse has shaped me: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for people… It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

In Hebrew, work and worship are closely linked. Every task, big or small, becomes an act of devotion. In the book, written a few centuries ago, Brother Lawrence called it practicing God's presence, not just in prayer but in every moment.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the gift of work.

Awaken in us a spirit of excellence, for it is our everyday worship.

Help us go the extra mile, to serve with joy and heart, not just when people are watching, but especially when no one sees.

May our character and effort reflect your love in every workplace and marketplace.

Open doors for growth and favor, and fill us with wisdom to keep learning, growing, and serving others.

May we do our work with all our heart, bringing you glory and uplifting and encouraging everyone around us. Amen.

  • A Prayer for You, First Prayed for My Daughter
    Oct 7 2026

Yesterday, as I read my daughter's message in a family group text, I sensed she was getting overwhelmed by the chaos and hardship of this world, so I sent her this blessing, which I will pray over you today.

May the Good Shepherd guide you to peaceful pastures, guard you from danger, and surround you daily with His deeply personal, self-sacrificial love.

As a father in God, I speak a blessing of peace, provision, and protection over you. For Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is with you always.

Child of God, this is a good day. The Lord God is your provider and healer.

He restores you in faith, hope, and love.

    May the LORD bless you and keep you;

    May the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;

May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

May his favor and unlimited goodness multiply in your life and the lives of your loved ones.

May hope expand in your heart as you walk in his wrap-around presence.

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord; and may the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you, and remain with you always.

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.

    Amen.

  • The Great Exchange at Work
    Oct 5 2026

At the heart of the Gospel is a promise: God turns loss into restoration, sorrow into joy, and despair into hope. Through Jesus, we receive abundant life and purpose—the greatest gift of all.

As we begin the first full work week of October, our prayer focus shifts from miracles and wonders to the everyday opportunities God places before us—at work, with family and friends, and throughout our community.

I remember a season when my life felt heavy, burdened with challenges and uncertainty. Yet through prayer and trusting Jesus, I witnessed God transform my life, home, and workplace into places of growth and renewed purpose.

Friend of God, the Great Exchange is real: God restores our hope, renews our spirits, and turns our daily work into service for His kingdom. The promise of abundant life in Jesus is true for all who walk with Him.

    Let’s pray:

Gracious, generous, great Heavenly Father, we come before you today, grateful for the gift of work, ministry, service, and the opportunities you place in our paths.

As we enter this season of our lives, grant us your wisdom, favor, and strength in our workplaces.

Let us serve with integrity, kindness, and excellence, turning every challenge into a chance to glorify you.

Remind us that our jobs are more than tasks; they are platforms for your love and hope.

May we bring light where there is darkness and encouragement where there is weariness.

Thank you for abundant life and purpose through you, Jesus. In your precious name we pray. Amen.

  • Multiplication Miracles: From Not Enough to Overflow
    Sep 30 2026

    Hello, Friend of God.

Today, we wrap up our September journey of praying God-sized prayers.

Our focus is on removing limitations and trusting God for supernatural provision.

In the gospel, Jesus saw a hungry crowd, just a few loaves and fish, and refused to let what seemed insufficient limit what God could do. He gave thanks, broke the bread, and God multiplied it until thousands were fed, with leftovers to spare.

Like many of you, I’ve seen God multiply what I thought was not enough—personally, financially, at work, and in ministry. When we place what we have in God’s hand, no limit can hold back His abundance.

    Let us pray.

Abundant God, we bring you every area of lack in our lives—resources, health, relationships, and hope.

We refuse to settle for small prayers or believe the lie of scarcity. Remove our fears and the threat of every limitation in our hearts and minds.

Pour out your provision and abundance until every need is met and more.

May your favor overflow in our lives, families, and communities.

Give us courage to dream bigger, ask bolder, and expect more.

We trust you with all our hearts and choose not to rely on our own understanding. In all our ways, we submit to your wisdom—please direct our steps and make our paths straight.

Shape our destiny as we trust you, Jehovah Jireh, the God who guides and provides.

    Amen.

  • Unshackled: Praying for Open Doors
    Sep 28 2026

Hello, Friend of God. We continue our September journey of praying God-sized prayers.

Today, our focus is on asking for big things in our workplaces and careers. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were locked in prison, their future looking bleak.

Yet at midnight, they prayed and sang praises, refusing to settle for despair. Suddenly, a supernatural earthquake shook the foundation, broke every chain, and opened every door.

God responded to their faith and hope with a miracle that set them, and everyone around them, free.

I’ve walked through seasons when it seemed the chains in my circumstances would never budge. But God showed up, broke every limitation, and opened doors I never imagined. The Redeemer has restored my life and situation before, and I trust Him to do it again, for you and for me.

    Let us pray.

Almighty God, we bring you our workplaces, our businesses, and every area of daily labor.

We ask for big things—heaven’s answers, divine intervention, breakthroughs, and miracles.

Break every chain of limitation, delay, and disappointment that holds us back.

Shake the foundations of our workplace circumstances that resist your plan, and open doors no one can shut.

Release supernatural progress, fresh creativity, and new opportunities.

Let your favor rest upon us, and may our work reflect your goodness.

We dare to believe for more, trusting that with you all things are possible and you can do far more than all we ask or imagine.

    Amen.
