  • What I'd Quit Today, Part 2. Leaving Regret Behind
    Oct 21 2026

Today, we continue our Wednesday prayer focus on “What I’d Quit Today If I Wanted to Be Happier.”

Last Wednesday, we explored quitting the habit of instantly reacting to any news by spiraling into worst-case scenarios.

This week, we’re letting go of the “What-Could-Have-Beens.”

It’s time to leave regret behind—dropping the heavy baggage of old mistakes, missed opportunities, and failed relationships.

No more living through the rearview mirror, asking, “What if I had stayed?” or “What if I hadn’t messed up?”

Today, we choose to move forward, trusting that forgiveness, new beginnings, and happiness are possible.

    Let us pray.

Lord, I bring you my regrets and the weight of what might have been. Jesus, grant me grace to release the past—every mistake, every missed chance, every broken relationship, every bad decision.

You know my heart; I have wanted to honor you.

Thank you that your mercies are new every morning and that I am not defined by my disappointments and failures.

Help me grow in grace and gratitude, learn from what I’ve lived through, and trust you with what comes next.

Free my heart from fear, shame, and grief, and fill me with joy, hope, and your energetic life for today and my future.

Let me walk forward in the love of Abba Father, who gives confidence, courage, and peace.

Continue to write a new story in my life, full of hope and promise. Amen.

  • Prayer for Overcoming Burnout at Work
    Oct 19 2026

Good morning. Today, my prayer is for help with overwhelm and burnout in life and at work.

    Let us pray.

Lord, I come to you in humility, wanting to be honest, as I feel tired and exhausted. My soul is parched and needs your refreshment. I need a drink from your living water. Please revive my heart and restore my spirit with your presence.

Forgive me for the times I’ve relied on my own strength and forgotten to enter into God's gifts and grace.

May I align more closely with your wisdom in the boundaries you’ve set for my well-being, whether that means taking a sabbath or putting away my phone at certain times of the day and week.

Remind me that my true identity and value are found in Christ, not in what I achieve or produce.

Today, I submit to God and resist the devil. I let go of overwhelm, regret, and the heaviness of shame. In Jesus' name, I command every spirit of darkness, frustration, and oppression to flee from me.

Let the grace of heaven cover me, and may your peace and protection surround me.

Now, Lord, fill me afresh with joy, hope, and strength for the days ahead.

Renew my energy like the eagle’s, help me not grow weary in doing good, and let me walk forward with expectation, knowing you have a future full of promise for me.

    Amen.

  • What I’d Quit Today If I Wanted to Be Happier
    Oct 14 2026

Today, we’re focusing on letting go of the what-ifs and making room for God-shaped happiness in our souls.

I was raised in a home that always reacted to any news of any kind by running through every worst-case scenario.

Growing up, my dad, being a career military man and an officer, always had a plan B, C, or even F.

My mom, shaped by loss of her mother as a teenager and her years as a nurse, taught us to brace for bad news. “What if?” was the constant soundtrack in our home.

But I learned that while we can’t control what happens around us, we can choose not to let those things steal our joy or our peace or frame us with fear.

    Let us pray:

Amazing, gracious, kind, loving Father, thank you for inviting us to lay down the heavy burden of worry and what-ifs.

Help us today to break the habit of rehearsing every bad possibility and instead anchor our minds in your goodness and faithfulness.

Teach us to walk in our identity in Christ and hold tight to your promises. Help us trust your plans, even when our circumstances are uncertain.

Let your peace guard our hearts and minds, especially when anxiety tries to creep in.

Fill us with quiet confidence that you holds our future, and set us free from the negative loops of fear-driven thinking.

May we step into each new day with hope, peace, and joy that comes from you. Amen.
