  • Jessica Charman Will Be a Superstar / Ep 559 / Blue City Radio
    Nov 5 2026

After the final whistle blew on Halloween afternoon, NYCFC already knew their fate. Their playoff hopes hinged upon them being able to secure all three points at home against the worst team in the Eastern Conference. With all of that pressure on the line the team folded in stoppage time conceding an equalizer.

Luckily for our faithful listeners we brought on the spirited voice of Jessica Charman from Apple TV to share her story and journey with us and to give us her insight into what was a very difficult season for the club.

  • Bad Reputation / Ep 558 / Blue City Radio
    Oct 28 2026

What else could go wrong for NYCFC in 2026? Losing your starting goal keeper in the 28th minute of a must-win game, check. Having a penalty kick goal disallowed because the shooter did not wait for the whistle, check. The list continues to grow as this team under Pascal Jansen continues to drop points in creative ways. Ultimately the game cannot be considered a complete failure as they would salvage a draw with the final kick of the match, but still feels disappointing considering the season as a whole.

This week Mike Anderer, Mike Allen and J.R. diBart continue the conversation about the ambitions of Brad Sims for NYCFC to be the flagship club for MLS. All three of the hosts agree that the team has a way to go before achieving that realistic and attainable goal (Sim's words, not the author's).

  • I Will Follow You Into the Dark / Ep 557 / Blue City Radio
    Oct 21 2026

With few points left to spare this season NYCFC only earned one point out of a possible six, but strangely the mood around the team feels lighter than in weeks past. The midweek opponent was one of the Eastern Conference's toughest and the visitor's on Saturday despite being out of the top four in the west brought a dominant attacking threat. And NYCFC held their own against the likes of Son and Bouanga to salvage the point and hopefully build towards a road victory this coming Saturday in Orlando.

This week Mike Anderer, Mike Allen and J.R. diBart go into a deep dive on Etihad Park after Mike Allen got to tour the venue in the final stages of its construction. Then the trio talk about the two matches from the week and look ahead at the bleak but still attainable playoff picture for the club.
