Episode 242

Crunchyroll's giving us some sneak peeks for the upcoming Fall season, and boy oh boy does Frankfurtter have some thoughts on the event. Spoiler alert, he goes old man Frankfurtter on some attendees (yikes!).

Also, Tokypop is nearing the end of its public stock share offer for fans to invest in the company! A cool yet odd endeavor, this comes off the aftermath of a somewhat rocky 2025 year.

Lastly, a webtoon app is closing down in North America. What does this mean for the digital manhwa market??

Frankfurtter and MagicallyAverage have plenty to dive into in this week's episode!!

Also also, it's not going to be finished for a very, VERY long time...

Episode 239

This week's episode is a mixed bag of topics, or as Frankfurtter puts it, "like throwing pasta at the wall...." Yeah, it's gonna be one of those episodes.

The bakabois cover the recent release of Sony's PlaystationTV, Shonen Jump removing and adding new series, and the steady increase of online anime bullying amongst fans. As the topics suggest, things get more and more heated as the episode drags along. So make sure to buckle up because this one is going to be an especially bumpy ride!

Our condolences go out to the family of Hayden Panettiere.

Anime is no stranger to the video game adaptation. Pokemon. Persona. Ace Attorney. Heck, even Steins;Gate started off as a light novel before becoming a critically acclaimed anime series. Now, another beloved franchise is joining the anime family, but with a potentially interesting twist.

Yes, this past weekend at D23, Kingdom Hearts the anime was finally announced! However, little to no details were provided to the fans leaving many, like Frankfurtter and MagicallyAverage, to ponder over what the anime will be all about. So, assemble your favorite characters and select your preferred keyblade as we dive into the Kingdom Hearts anime news!

Well, we'd like to say we're surprised by the online anime community and their opinions towards Mushoku Tensei, but we're not. Each and every season, we are treated to the same arguments, the same rhetoric, and the same vitriol anime fans have towards Mushoku Tensei. The. Exact. Same. Now, do we hear these opinion pieces constantly? No. Do we hear new perspectives on fans of the show are just as disgusting as the anime itself? No. It's the same opinion fans regurgitate between one another over and over and over again... So, in the spirit of open discussions, MagicallyAverage and Frankfurtter open the floor on the topic once again. An invite, if you will, to converse at lengths about the anime known as Mushoku Tensei. Oh, and the bakabois do a bit of venting as well. Buckle up, this is going to be one hell of a bumpy ride.
