Even in light of FINAL DESTINATION: BLOOD LINES and SINNERS tearing up the box office, the consensus seems to be that horror is at an over saturation point and the party is over. While I agree there are warning signs, the party ain't ending tomorrow, the next day, or next week. WE have a lot of runway left and I have advice for the prod cos on how to extend it.

Also, I list the top tend films which either changed my life or changed the way I view and create films. This was inspired by an edible so keep your expectations in check.

While it looked like Demi Moore was cleaning up in Awards Season, a late darling pretty much swept the Oscars. Doesn't matter much in the long run. Demi is great and the Oscars are just a PR campaign for the industry. I'll walk you through it. Also, maybe it's time for the Oscars to fade into history. The desperate attempts to remain relevant in an era where Awards shows have little to zero impact is beginning to look sad.

Closing out what was personally a rough year, but for the horror genre it was one of the best ever, and 2025 looks to be just as good. Industry contraction has finally found it's bottom, they finally know what streaming actually is, and production is about to ramp up. Buckle up.

Terrifier 3 and Smile 2 ruled the box office on their opening weekends, leaving some big budget fare in the dust. I took a hiatus to deal with my father's passing. But it's time to get back to work.
Talking how Roger Corman and Al Ruddy's passing is also the passing of an important era in Hollywood's history. Also taking Crystal Lake, My Bloody Valentine, and ignore the doomsayers, the box office is just fine. Hollywood just needs to make better choices.
