  • Rebecca Fenney: The Other Side of Your Favourite MAFS UK Star — HYROX, Fitness & Beauty
    Feb 16 2026

This week we’re joined by Rebecca Fenney, known to many from Married at First Sight UK — but this conversation goes far beyond what you see on screen.

Rebecca opens up about how fitness has been a constant through her life, even when routine, structure and training were taken completely out of her control. We talk honestly about what it was really like trying to train while filming a reality TV show, why the gym became a rare safe space during that time, and how losing her usual fitness routine affected her both mentally and physically.

We also get into all things HYROX — how she trains, how she approaches race day, running vs strength, race strategy, favourite trainers, race-day outfits, and the little things that make a big difference when you’re on the start line.

She shares why her online presence is rooted in inspiring women — especially those over 30 — to know that it’s never too late to start, reset, or try something new. We also dive into juggling a full-time career as an aesthetics nurse alongside training, why fitness doesn’t always have to be the main focus, and how she’s learned to let it ebb and flow with life.

This is a grounded, refreshing conversation about strength, identity, and using fitness as a way to feel like yourself again.

  • Poppy Jones: 1:15 to 1:01 — The Running Secrets Behind a HYROX Pro Solo Win
    Feb 9 2026

This week on the podcast, we’re joined by Poppy Jones — Third Space PT and one of the most exciting athletes currently chasing the HYROX dream. Fresh off the racecourse in Manchester, where she clocked a PB of 1:01:18 and took the Solo Pro win, it felt like the perfect time to sit down and have a proper chat.

Poppy opens up about the journey that led to this breakthrough moment — from international netball and burnout, to rebuilding her confidence and finally trusting what she’s capable of on race day.

We dive deep into the running transformation that changed everything: moving from 5:30–5:40/km HYROX run splits, to committing fully to running-focused training. In just 10 months, she dropped her 10K from 46 minutes to 36, ran a sub-18 5K.

We also talk racing nerves vs racing with confidence, the mental side of performance, why Manchester felt so different to London, and what it takes to fully commit to chasing a career as an athlete.

This episode is a brilliant insight into patience, belief, and what can happen when the work finally clicks. Poppy is quietly becoming one to watch — and after this conversation, you’ll understand why.

  • Máire McGinley & Rachel O’Connor: Elite Sport, Motherhood, and Learning to Back Yourself
    Jan 26 2026

This week we’re joined by Máire McGinley and Rachel O’Connor, an Irish-Scottish duo who are quickly establishing themselves on the HYROX Elite scene.

From taking the APAC mixed relay record to lining up in the Elite 15 races in Hamburg and Melbourne, Maire and Rachel share what it’s really like stepping into elite competition — the excitement, the pressure, and the work it takes to believe you belong there.

A central part of this conversation focuses on female athlete health and motherhood. Rachel opens up about years of high training loads, losing her menstrual cycle, and the moment she realised she needed to prioritise her health in order to conceive.

We talk about stepping back from performance, changing lifestyle, and how that journey shaped her return to competitive sport as a mother.

    We also discuss:

    - How their partnership came together

    - Balancing elite racing with careers, travel, and family life

    - The realities (and costs) of pursuing elite sport outside Europe

    - Managing mindset, pressure, and long-term perspective

An honest, grounded conversation highlighting why prioritising health is never a step backwards.

  • Renee McGregor: Cutting Through the January Noise
    Jan 19 2026

    January is loud.

New year, new goals, new rules, new trends — especially when it comes to food, body weight and “doing better”.

But are any of them actually helping you feel, function and perform better… or are they quietly doing more harm than good?

For this January special, sports dietitian Renee McGregor is back on the podcast, and we’re cutting straight through the noise.

    In this episode, we unpack:

    • Why January might be the worst time to overhaul your nutrition
    • The real cost of “new year, new me” thinking
    • Why weight-focused goals can undermine health, energy and long-term performance
    • The growing concerns around weight-loss injections
    • How fixating on one outcome can quietly derail everything else

This is an honest, grounding conversation for anyone feeling pressure to reset, restrict or chase a body goal this time of year.

  • Joanna Wietrzyk: Dominating Hyrox, 2/2 Major wins, can anyone beat her?!
    Jan 5 2026

We’re kicking off 2026 the only way that felt right — with Joanna Wietrzyk back on the podcast.

Jo was our very first guest of 2025, and since then, her career has gone stratospheric. From racing just a handful of times in Australia to Elite 15 Major wins, world podiums, and now a dream weekend racing on home soil in Melbourne — this season has been next level.

In this episode, we dive into what life looks like after winning 2/2 Majorss so far this season! Jo opens up about racing with less pressure, using each event as a learning opportunity, and treating the season as a build towards Worlds. We talk doubles racing with Jess Pettrow — why their partnership works so well, how they read each other mid-race, and why friendship matters just as much as fitness.

    We also get into:

    • What it’s like racing mixed doubles with Hunter McIntyre
    • Racing fatigued and why Jo actually enjoys it
    • Why consistency beats chasing shortcuts
    • How transitions can make or break your race
    • The reality of rising competition in Hyrox
    • And what it really takes to move from rookie to elite

If you’re setting goals for the year ahead, this episode is a reminder that progress isn’t flashy — it’s built race by race, rep by rep.
