Rest in peace, Angry Anderson. Shortly before Rose Tattoo cancelled their tour – and before the sudden passing of Australian hard rock legend Angry Anderson – Lotto King Karl conducted what was probably the very last interview with the iconic Rose Tattoo frontman for [[!++station_brand_name]]. In this deep and personal conversation, Angry Anderson looks back on a life full of ups and downs: he talks about the wild early days of Rose Tattoo in the mid-1970s, his close friendship with AC/DC, and how Angus and Malcolm Young helped the band land their first record deal. He also reflects on his Hollywood role as “Ironbar” in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the success of his solo ballad “Suddenly”, his social activism and the honour he received from Queen Elizabeth II, as well as his planned autobiography and his special bond with German fans. It’s an unfiltered document of real rock ’n’ roll and an extraordinary life’s work. A true hard rock original whose voice and attitude shaped generations of rock fans. Farewell, Angry. Rest in peace.
