What is Church?

What's the purpose of the Church?

Are today's churches getting the Gospel all wrong by not teaching Grace or are they teaching and sending out the wrong message to all those that attend?

Today, we are having a very candid conversation between Bob, John and Todd about our experiences at churches and where today's church may be missing the mark.

We took a vacation down south to Fort Myers Beach to relax and enjoy Florida in January and we found ourselves taking time to discuss what we feel about how "Church" may be missing the mark when it comes to teaching about the Grace of God and the good news of the Gospel.

Are we being flooded with the wrong message about God's grace and love for us?

There is peace knowing the finished work of Christ at the cross. We read in scripture John 16:33

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

There is definitely trouble in the world and it seems like it never ends. Jesus told us that we can have Peace knowing that He has conquered the world. How can we find peace in the daily battles we all face. REST in HIM. That's how we can.

Roman's 5:1

1. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Peace comes with faith and understanding. Going through trials James 1:2-4

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Today we will be discussing this topic and how we have overcome adversity.
