Merdeka - Malay for "Independence" - a short but very meaningful word. As recorded in history, Malaya's independence on 31 Aug 1957 was achieved not by bloodshed but with proof that the multiracial society could live harmoniously. And Malaysia is just a stronger entity with the inclusion of Sarawak and Sabah into the Federation. Thus, we talked about Sarawak Independence Day (22 July) and Malaysia Day (16 Sept) because the different people in the society is what makes Malaysia! Merdeka!

It seems like student life in Japan & the UK is quite different. Obviously, being different countries it would mean that there are different cultures but I was surprised to know some differences in terms of student perks as well. Listen to us talking about it!

UK and Canada are alike in the sense that they're both English speaking countries but is the student life the same? In this episode, I'm having Munirah all the way from Vancouver's University of British Columbia (UBC) where we compare our student lives as international students in the two places. We touched on schedules, perks, travelling and even working opportunities. The two are interrelated - confidence and body image - and both complement each it other. Confidence is pretty straight forward meanwhile body image isn't actually just about our physiques but includes our inner selves as well. Listen to Hidayah & me talking about it as we also touched a little on social media as it affects our confidence too.
