Unusual in that neither Dr. Watson nor Sherlock Holmes tells the story, "The Adventure of the Mazarin Stone" features a wax effigy of Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective, a secret passageway to his room, double crosses, a jewel thief, and a bit of sleight of hand that deposits a stolen jewel in the coat pocket of a gentleman who definitely did not steal it, but did to that moment doubt the detective’s abilities.
