Not actually "meditation"
Teaches different styles of mentally distracting from pain signals without diasassociating from the body. If each method were examined separately, with some distant music in the background and continued for more than 3 or 4 breaths (each breath is described very acutely for several minutes but cannot actually be practiced at that speed unless you were a deep-sea diver) the sessions could be expanded into actual "meditations". Voices are those of your friendly neighborhood therapists, real, not trained narrators, which in this case is refreshing--you can imagine yourself there is their office learning these things. But the only modality I think I got enough of was tapping; I would have liked a lot more of each style of guided breathing in its own chapter.

Ok
It was ok. Not really meditation but ideas of different ways. Good for the fact that there are a couple of good ones.

Worthwhile
Worthwhile practices that most people can benefit from in.my opinion. I enjoyed the practices a lot.
