Sintesi dell'editore
As featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Oprah, this is the powerful story of a young, blind musician and his courageous lessons for living with faith.
Patrick Henry Hughes was born with a rare genetic disorder that left him without eyes and physically disabled. But he was also blessed with exceptional musical talent, able to play the piano at the age of two. Now, at age 19, he is a nationally known pianist, singer, and trumpeter who has performed at the Kennedy Center. But he's best known for playing in the University of Louisville marching band, while his devoted father pushes him in formation in his wheelchair. With determined optimism and courage, Hughes has made "I am potential" his mantra and defied the impossible at every turn. His life journey will prove inspirational for anyone facing challenges in their own life.

Powerful, inspiring, beautiful
This is, without exaggeration, one of the best books I have ever read.
The story in itself if powerful and inspiring. It is very well written. The narration is excellent.

Brings a Tear and a Smile
The autobiography of Patrick Henry and his dad is one of the best I have purchased from Audible. I had seen Patrick Henry and his dad featured on ESPN a few years ago. Some of the questions the book answered for me: How did Patrick Henry get into the Marching Band? How does he read music? How does his family make every day activities work? What is his dad's day like? What is Patrick Henry’s major? (It’s not music.) To know that as a family, they have come together and created such wonderful opportunities from adversities that most of us feel couldn’t be overcome. I rewound and listened to many passages a second time already. It’s so good that I plan to give copies as gifts for teachers and friends. No matter what you walk in life, you’ll relate to this story.
This autobiography is told from both Patrick Henry's and his dad's perspective, so there are two narrators. Good narration from both. You will enjoy the story and as you learn more about this family, you will reflect on your own life and vow to live your own life more positively.
