Shine!

Getting into the Shine School for Performing Arts is a dream come true for Chloe - she’ll be taking classes in dance and drama every day and surrounded by people just as passionate as she is! But while the talented and extroverted Chloe was the star at her old school, at Shine it’s much harder to stand out. And although the other girls in her year seem nice, she finds it trickier to make real friends than she’d expected it to be.

When there’s a big audition for a West End production of Mary Poppins at The Shine School for the Performing Arts, Sara is hoping this’ll be her big chance. She sings her heart out in the first round of auditions and is delighted to get a callback for the part of Jane. But rather than being pleased for her, Sara’s mum is only concerned about how getting the role would affect her schoolwork.

Lily has never felt like she deserves to be at The Shine School for the Performing Arts. She's sure she only got a place because of her famous actress mum. Then she finds out about an exciting new TV adaptation of her favourite book, Little Women, and everything clicks - this is her chance to prove herself! Bethany has been keeping a secret from her best friends: she’s attending The Shine School for the Performing Arts on a scholarship since her mum can’t afford to pay for stage school. Then she’s offered the chance to perform in a backing vocal group at a celebrity charity concert with her favourite singer. Luckily, the school has a boardinghouse she can stay in so she can juggle all her work. Unluckily, Lizabeth will also be staying in the house....
