For Sienna Faremin, staying alive has been merely a byproduct of the torture she received for over a decade. Running one mission after another for the Magick council, she is nothing more than their personal assassin, leaving her hands bloodier than most. When she's tasked with killing a man believed to be the last surviving member of a Guardian family, Sienna accepts, only to discover the man she's supposed to kill is none other than Daxon Ward, one of only two survivors she saved the night the Guardian academy burned to the ground.

Sienna isn't sure how much longer she can hang on to the shred of humanity left within her. Not when her only chance at escape would be to destroy what is left of her soul. Daxon is hell-bent on tearing apart the realm in order to find the Sage who has saved his life more times than he can count. But as the journey grows more perilous each and every day, Daxon is forced to confront the very real possibility that they may never recover the Sienna they once knew.

They lost the battle. Now it's time for war. What they feared has come to pass, and now, stuck in the center of an ancient war, Sienna and Daxon set out in search of a mythical stone that's rumored to have the ability to reshape their world. The magick's want it destroyed. The non-magicks want to cleanse the realm.
