He went to prison for protecting her.

Now, he’ll do anything to keep her alive.

Ten years ago, Yates “Wicked” Harris witnessed a crime against a young woman and intervened. While she considered him her hero, the world classified him as a monster. The moment he’s released, Wicked makes a promise to provide and protect and ensure no one will ever touch her again.

Ten years ago, Jelai Williams learned the difference between a man who saw her as prey and a man who knew she was worthy of protection. The sacrifice Wicked made carved a space in her heart for him and him alone. Regardless of how many people tried to keep her away from him, her love and loyalty never lessened, and both bloomed when he was released from prison.

Ignoring cautionary tales of Wicked’s motorcycle club and warnings to stay away from them all, Jelai allows herself to experience the man who temporarily gave up his freedom for her. As their connection deepens, so does the danger. The Wilted Roses are being targeted, and they are sure it’s because of Wicked’s return and his forbidden relationship with Jelai. Every touch, every kiss, every secret date reminds them of what they could have … and what they could lose.

Will Wicked and Jelai have a real shot at happily ever after, or will he be taken away from her permanently the second time around?
