Sigmund Freud’s “The Interpretation of Dreams” has been described as one of the most important books of the 20th century. As a result of the perception, however, that it is a lengthy and complex work, Freud embarked on the task of compiling a more brief and simplified version of his ideas on the interpretation of dreams. The results of this labor are presented in "On Dreams". From the time of its appearance, a large and loyal audience of scholars, experts and curious learners have relied on this work for a trusted and systematic exposition of Freud's theory of dreams.

While we tend to think of the great thinkers as hailing from Ancient Greece, the 20th century has had more than its fair share of sharp minds. "500 Quotations from the Great Philosophers of the 20th Century" is a collection of reflections, insights, and observations from some of the best brains of that era. A superb book for dipping in and out of, this makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in history or philosophy.

"200 Quotes on Psychoanalysis" is a collection of wisdom from two pioneers in the world of mental health. Sigmund Freud was the creator of psychoanalysis, which is a therapeutic technique that involves talking about personal experiences in order to uncover and address unconscious feelings, thoughts, and memories. Carl Jung took these theories further, and between them, their work continues to influence our thoughts on mental health to this day. This compilation contains 200 quotes from these two giants of psychoanalysis.

"Psychopathology of Everyday Life" is a book which passed through four editions in Germany and is considered the author's most popular work. With great ingenuity and penetration, the author throws much light on the complex problems of human behavior, and clearly demonstrates that the hitherto considered impassable gap between normal and abnormal mental states is more apparent than real. This translation is made of the fourth German edition.

Anyone, as Freud tells us in "Reflections on War and Death", forced to react against his own impulses may be described as a hypocrite, whether he is conscious of it or not. One might even venture to assert - it is still Freud's argument - that our contemporary civilization favors this sort of hypocrisy and that there are more civilized hypocrites than truly cultured persons, and it is even a question whether a certain amount of hypocrisy is not indispensable to maintain civilization.

Ideal for students, psychologists, and anyone curious about the workings of the unconscious, On Dreams remains a timeless introduction to psychoanalytic thought and Freud's enduring legacy.
