Holmes and Watson begin with their investigation. They visit the crime scene, the victims dorm room and inspect the body. In the process Holmes makes a discovery.

After a discussion with the Abbot and his Vicar, Watson begins to understand the importance of the veneration of Virgin Mary within the Catholic church. While Holmes's interests wander towards the Abbey's rich collection of relics.

Neither doctors nor police are able to find the cause. Confronted with a riddle the Baron hires Holmes and Watson to solve the mystery before it is tool late.

Within the premises of the Japanese Consulate in London a perfidious assasination came to pass. In order to avoid diplomatic affairs and to quickly solve this murder the responsible intelligence officer turns to Sherlock Holmes.

While Sherlock is running errands, Dr. Watson receives a potential client in his place on Baker Street. The problem presented, though, seems to be of little relevance, which is why the case was declined. However, a few hours later a serious crime actually happens within the circle of the associate.

When Sherlock and Dr. Watson visit a bank branch close to their apartment, they involuntarily slither into a robbery. The perpetrator ends up taking hostages and threatens to shoot them if he is not given an escape vehicle.
