C'est aussi l'occasion d'aller un peu plus que loin que les seules aventures que Watson a lui aussi vécues, avec les débuts de Sherlock, quand il était encore étudiant, et de découvrir son fameux frère, Mycroft Holmes, personnage presque plus énigmatique que Sherlock.

Watson et Holmes au secours de la jeune fille éplorée, mais surtout face à une énigme pleine de mystères imbriqués. Mary Morstan a en effet perdu son père quelques années plus tôt mais reçoit chaque année une perle de grande beauté d'un mystérieux donateur. Et voilà que celui-ci est prêt à révéler non seulement son identité, mais aussi la raison de ses cadeaux. La rencontre tourne à la découverte d'un meurtre, et à la recherche sur les bords de la Tamise de meurtriers insaisissables.

Sherlock Holmes et le Docteur Watson, le duo le plus célèbre de l'histoire du roman policier ! Il a bien fallu qu'un jour ils se rencontrent, que Watson découvre les traits un peu spéciaux de son futur ami, son activité de détective amateur au palmarès presque irréprochable. Ou que Holmes apprenne à se reposer sur le bon sens et la gentillesse de son acolyte.

Legendary stage and movie star Sir Nigel Bellingham arrives on Cape Cod to star in a stage production of The Hound of the Baskervilles put on by the West London Theater Festival.
