  • #padsessions 014 | Raw and Unedited Coaching Session
    Feb 19 2023

This is a little bit different from the usual format. I simply turned on the camera and started recording during a goal setting session with an agent. This is raw and unedited and truly what it's like when meeting new agents. I don't like to have a "script" prepared because there is no one size fits all approach. Everyone has different goals, needs and holes to fill in their marketing plan. Instead of telling them what they "should" be doing I try to listen to what they actually need and then fill those gaps. Sometimes it's simply some education about a new platform, sometimes it's full on production.

In this case something beautiful happened and I discovered that she has a media ecosystem outside of real estate that we can expand and start building and ultimately drive more business her way. There is something easily definable vs having to start from scratch and answer the most common question I get: "What do I post?".

There true value is always in the details and these types of sessions are so much fun for me because I always learn something new and gain new ideas myself.

    Video Version: https://youtu.be/AflM2ivRTpU

We talk about the same cheesy stuff that you get everywhere else: mindset, work ethic, dedication, vision, tuning out the noise, chasing your dream not money, happiness. The stuff that should be obvious to everyone but isn't. The stuff that is easy to understand, for some reason, so hard to do.

  • #padsessions 012 | Amanda Hillock | A New Real Estate Agent's Perspective
    Jul 24 2020

I sat down with a brand new real estate agent, Amanda, who is still in training to get her perspective on the real estate industry.

We talk about her process of getting a real estate license and how she choose the school and how she ended up at her real estate brokerage.

We also explored how expectation are not always set properly before starting real estate classes.

This will be valuable for anyone thinking about starting real estate pre-license classes and what to expect after you obtain your real estate license.

  • padsessions 011 | Quick Thoughts On "Professional Fashion" | Gino Pronos x Damian Tabor
    May 1 2020

Was a little caught off guard with this one. Got a call from Damian asking me to share my thoughts on dressing "professionally" and how it might affect my real estate biz.

I used to rebel against dressing up just to appease potential clients.

I eventually realized that, as a client service pro, I should always be representing my client's best interest and not my own. When I dress up I am projecting that I am someone who takes his business very seriously and it means a lot to me. If it means a lot to me then the sale of that given house means a lot to me and if the sale of that house means a lot to me then it means a lot to the seller and if it means a lot to the seller then it's more likely to mean a lot to the potential buyer.

Does dressing up make me a "better" Realtor? No. Does it give me some insider knowledge that wasn't there before? No. Will it allow me to provide a hight level of service? Well, maybe.

Something so simple like putting on a suit when I could have put on jeans could cascade down and actually influence a sale. And even if it doesn't, it allows me to believe that it is, which in turn makes me more confident in my activities and if I'm more confident then I may provide better information or have an edge when negotiating a deal (which allows me to represent my client's best interest even better).

All because I put on a tie.

P.S. Even if all of this is bs and how you dress doesn't affect your business in anyway...the worst thing that is going to happen is you're going to look fly. I weep for you.

  • padsessions 010 | Realtor Marketing Jam Session | Damian Tabor x Gino Pronos
    Apr 3 2020

I sit down with fellow Realtor Damian Tabor and we have a dense jam session on how to market our business during this quarantine.

All of this has encouraged everyone to get creative with their marketing by leveraging telecommunication and digital marketing.

We are all forced to make pivots and adjust on the fly but that doesn't mean we have to shut down. There are lots of ways to stay top of mind, even from your couch thanks to technology.

In this episode we brainstorm some ideas on how to position ourselves, through content marketing, so that when the storm clears we will have laid the foundation to build on and be the go to options.
