Helping other moms find community is one of my favorite things in the world. And I'm still out here trying to find my own.
This week I'm getting honest about my own friendship drought — what it actually looked like, when the loneliness hit hardest, and why I'm not "past it" just because I host a podcast about connection.
Here's the thing though: it's not you. Making adult friends — especially mom friends — is structurally harder than it's ever been, and almost nobody says that part out loud. We're talking about:
- The Instagram perception gap — why everyone else looks like they already have their people
- How AI and remote everything have made us more "connected" and somehow lonelier
- Why being real feels so risky right now — the "I'm so busy" badge, cancel culture, kids' activities eating every ounce of margin
Then we get practical: community doesn't happen naturally anymore. It takes intention — and I'll tell you what that actually looks like.
Go embarrass yourself this week. I'll be here next Tuesday. 💛
Struggling with mom friendship or adult loneliness? You're not alone — that's kind of the whole point of this show.
