Sometimes we look at someone’s testimony and only see the victory—but we forget everything they had to endure before they got there.

In this episode of SpreadHisWordTay, I share something God has been teaching me personally: setbacks are part of every testimony, and what feels like a setback today may be part of what God is using to prepare you for tomorrow.

We take a look at Joseph’s story in the Bible and the setbacks he experienced throughout his life. He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, imprisoned, and forgotten. Yet through it all, Joseph remained faithful to God and persevered even when his circumstances gave him every reason to become discouraged.

His story challenged me to look at my own circumstances differently.

After experiencing a setback of my own, I was humbled and reminded of the importance of slowing down, praying, seeking God, and examining my perspective. I had to remind myself that a setback is not the same as a failure, and a delay does not mean God has forgotten you.

Maybe you're walking through a difficult season right now. Maybe you're disappointed, discouraged, confused, or wondering why God hasn't moved yet.

Remember this: your current situation does not get the final word. God does.

My prayer is that this episode encourages you to keep going, keep believing, keep praying, and keep trusting God even when you cannot see what He is doing.

Don't despise the setback. Keep trusting God through the process. He isn't finished with your story.
