    Twenty-three-year-old James K. Cooper traveled to Metcalfe, Mississippi, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. To help someone he cared about, but he never returned home.

    Two weeks later, James was found allegedly hanging from a utility pole in the rural town in Metcalfe, Mississippi in Washington County.

    His death was death was quickly ruled a suicide before any evidence or investigation was conducted

    According to the family's account, James's remains were left unrefrigerated for approximately eight days and decomposed to the point that transporting him home became problematic and his body was cremated by the state leaving his family with more unanswered questions as to why? and even more distraught over his death.
