• The Healing Power of Sound: What Is Real?
    Oct 20 2026

Have you ever noticed what happens when you hear a song you love?

    Maybe you instantly feel happier.

Maybe a song takes you back to a particular person or season of your life.

Maybe worship music calms you down.

Maybe the sound of rain helps you sleep.

Maybe you've even noticed that when you're stressed, you naturally want quiet.

    Sound affects us.

There is no question about that.

But lately I've been seeing some pretty incredible claims about the healing power of sound.

I've read that a particular Mozart or Beethoven composition can help people with cancer.

I've read that certain frequencies can change the way our bodies process stress.

I've read that singing and humming stimulate the vagus nerve.

I've read stories about monks being placed in chapels because the humming or chanting was supposedly healing.

I've read about placing tuning forks directly on your body.

And then there are sound baths and singing bowls.

    So I started wondering:

    What is actually true?

Is there really a healing frequency?

Should we all be listening to a particular symphony?

Does humming really do something to our nervous system?

And if sound really can help us, how can an ordinary woman actually use it in her everyday life?

Let's separate what we know from what we wish were true.

  • Seasons of Life: Learning to Embrace Change
    Oct 13 2026

There is something comforting about remembering that life comes in seasons.

Some seasons are full of growth, excitement and possibility. Some are difficult, lonely or confusing. Some seasons feel like they will last forever—and then, sometimes without us even realizing it, they change.

The problem is that we don't always recognize when a season is over.

We can hold on to old routines, expectations, relationships, roles or ways of doing things because they worked so well for us before. But something that served us beautifully in one season can become a hindrance in the next.

Maybe the goal isn't to hold on tighter.

Maybe it's to learn how to flow with the season we're actually in.

  • Peace in the Middle of the Storm
    Oct 6 2026

There are seasons of life when the word peace can feel almost impossible to relate to.

When your life has been turned upside down by divorce, loss, financial stress, a difficult relationship, a health crisis, or a major transition, peace can seem like something that belongs to the other side of the storm.

We tell ourselves, I'll have peace when this is figured out. I'll have peace when I know what happens next. I'll have peace when this situation changes.

But the Bible gives us a very different picture of peace.

Biblical peace doesn't always mean that everything around us is peaceful. It doesn't mean there are no problems, no tears, no uncertainty, or no unanswered questions.

It means we can experience the presence and peace of God even when our circumstances are still unsettled.

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” — John 14:27

The peace Jesus offers isn't dependent on having a perfect life. It's a peace the world can't manufacture and circumstances can't always explain.

So what does that look like when you're living through a season that feels anything but peaceful?

  • TAKE ACTION: Clarity Comes From Movement
    Sep 29 2026

Have you ever found yourself stuck because you don't know what to do next?

You think about it. You analyze it. You make a list. You talk yourself in and out of it. You wait for clarity.

And then you realize you've been thinking about the same decision for weeks, months—or maybe even years.

Sometimes we think we need clarity before we can take action.

But what if it's actually the other way around?

What if clarity comes from action?

Psychology tells us that taking action can engage the brain's problem-solving and executive-function systems, helping us organize our thoughts and reduce some of the mental clutter that comes with prolonged indecision. When we stay stuck in hesitation, we can create a cycle of stress, overthinking and uncertainty.

Taking action doesn't guarantee that we'll make the perfect decision.

But it does give us something incredibly valuable:

    Information.

Once we move, we have something to respond to. We can learn. We can adjust. We can change direction.

    And that is growth.

  • Subscription Showdown: Where Is Your Money Going?
    Sep 22 2026

How many things are automatically coming out of your bank account every month—and how many of them are you actually using?

Subscriptions are convenient. They can also become financial clutter.

A few dollars here, $10 there, an annual renewal you forgot about, a service you signed up for months ago and rarely use…it adds up.

Today we're doing a Subscription Showdown.

Not just streaming services. We're looking at everything that automatically comes out of your account and asking one simple question:

“Am I actually getting enough value from this to keep paying for it?”

  • Supplements — What Do We Really Need?
    Sep 15 2026

Walk into any vitamin store—or scroll through Instagram for five minutes—and you can start to feel like you need an entire cabinet full of supplements to be healthy.

    Collagen for aging skin.
    Creatine for muscle.
    NAD+ for longevity.
    Fish oil for your heart.
Biotin for your hair and nails.
    CoQ10 for energy.
    Vitamin D for your bones.
    Magnesium for...well, seemingly everything!

But how do we separate good science from good marketing?

In this episode we're going to talk about what we can get naturally from food, which supplements have legitimate reasons to consider, which ones may be useful in certain circumstances, and which ones may be more hype than help.

And most importantly: you don't need to take everything.

The goal isn't to build the biggest supplement routine. The goal is to understand your own nutritional needs and make smart, informed decisions.

Supplements are supposed to supplement your diet—not replace a healthy diet.

  • Comparison Is the Thief of Joy
    Sep 8 2026

Comparison is the thief of joy.

It is so easy to look at someone else's life and think:

“I can't do that like she can.”
“I wish I had what she has.”
“Why doesn't my life look like that?”
“She has it all together, and I don't.”

And before we know it, we're discouraged, dissatisfied, and questioning our own lives.

But here's the truth: comparison will always make us feel like we're falling short because we're comparing our real, messy, behind-the-scenes life to someone else's highlight reel.

If we want to build a happy, joy-filled life, we have to learn to recognize comparison when it shows up—and shut it down.

  • Trusting the Lord When You Don't Understand
    Sep 1 2026

    Starting over can be confusing.

Sometimes you know exactly what you need to do next. Other times, you don't have a clue. You may be facing circumstances you never expected, asking questions you don't have answers to, and wondering what God is doing in the middle of it all.

And that's when trusting God can become really difficult.

    Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Notice that the verse doesn't say, Understand everything and then trust God.

It says trust Him and don't lean on your own understanding.

That's an important distinction when you're walking through a difficult season.
