Happy Lancashire Day!

We're taking a break from all things spooky and folkloric (well, sort of!) to celebrate. Did you know that on the 27th November 1295, Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament, to attend the Model Parliament of King Edward I?

We're using this opportunity to talk about what we love most about our native county other than its ghosts and witches. (Although it is mainly the ghosts and witches of Lancashire that we love the most, obviously.)

Happy Hallowe'en! Or, as we once called it in the Fylde, 'Teanlay Night'. To celebrate spooky season, we're baking soul cakes and building bonfires as we explore Lancashire Hallowe'en customs, and wondering how the Teanlowe Shopping Centre in Poulton-le-Fylde got it's name...
