Sometimes music is created that changes the way everyone thinks about the art form. Not just the people inside the industry, the musician, the producers, and the record companies but everyone. In the 50’s this happened with an album called Kind of Blue.
On this episode I’m joined by Lance, a PHD candidate, musician, and one of my oldest and best friends for a sometimes wandering, sometimes technical, but always interesting discussion of Kind of Blue, arguably the best jazz album of all time.
Why We Like this is a podcast about the celebration of things we like. Chris and his cast of rotating co-hosts sit and chat about things they like from an anecdotal and analytical point of view. A little personal storytelling to go along with trying to understand what the thing we’re talking about is doing that makes us like it.
