A proposito di questo titolo
Welcome to another episode of Food, Freedom, and Fertility. Host Caitlin Johnson has Kristin Brogaard with Path Fertility.
Kristin Brogaard, PhD is Co-founder and CSO of Path Fertility, a division of Inherent Biosciences, a molecular diagnostics company at the intersection of epigenetics and AI. Dr. Brogaard is an experienced molecular biologist, study director, and operations manager for early stage biotech startups.
Dr. Brogaard received her PhD in Molecular Biology from Northwestern University developing novel epigenetic technologies. She subsequently worked with Dr. Leroy Hood, a pioneer in personalized medicine technologies, first as a post-doc and then as a colleague launching a novel scientific wellness start-up, Arivale.
Caitlin and Dr. Brogaard have an indepth chat about sperm health and how most sperm tests done when looking at a couple's fertility is simply not enough. She believes infertility affects men and women equally, but technology has not allowed men to be an equal partner in the fertility testing process – until now.
SpermQT analyzes the sperm's ability to find, bind, penetrate, and fertilize an egg. The ability to complete these important steps relies on the sperm quality and function, critical factors that are measured by SpermQT.
According to Dr. Brogaard a lot of infertility goes undiagnosed because men go undiagnosed. When men go undiagnosed, women go through procedures that will not work. In this episode Caitlin and Dr. Brogaard chat about why it is important to look into your partner's sperm and get more testing done for both male and females.
