A proposito di questo titolo

"Who Thought We'd Be Here" is a podcast about changing your mind, redefining the stigma around mental health, and living a vulnerable and productive lifestyle.

Both seeking answers from the Universe as they turned 30, co-hosts and longtime pals Steven Aigner and John Pugh found themselves improving in ways their younger and much more wild selves could have never seen coming. They began conquering and healing their past selves with unfamiliar mindfulness tools like meditation, yoga, breath-work, journaling, reading transformative books, and experimenting with mind expanding remedies.

Ignited by a passion to help others struggling with complex problems of their own and a desire to create a new narrative surrounding men's mental health in today's modern society, they created their first collaborative podcast "Who Thought We'd Be Here?" This podcast is all about exploring the boundless potential within ourselves, and to inspire each and every one of us to be fearless in our own unique human experience.

Their goal is to make mindfulness more accessible for folks all around the world, and express the genuine benefits of redesigning your life in a more thoughtful way.

We'd love for you to join us on this spiritual journey, as we try to shine a little light into what it really and truly means to be a good human in this Universe.

  • Reshaping Society's Definition of Masculinity for the Modern Man
    Feb 23 2026

In this episode, we explore the evolving conversation around masculinity and the role men are trying to navigate in today’s culture. Rather than approaching the topic from extremes, this discussion looks at the tension many men feel between traditional expectations and modern societal shifts—and how that tension can create confusion around identity, purpose, responsibility, and emotional expression.

We talk about what it means to show up as a grounded man in a world that often sends mixed messages: be strong but vulnerable, ambitious but balanced, independent but connected. The episode examines how social narratives, comparison, and pressure can shape behavior, while also emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, accountability, and intentional growth.

This conversation isn’t about rejecting masculinity or defending outdated models of it. It’s about redefining it in a way that prioritizes character, discipline, empathy, and presence—qualities that allow men to build meaningful relationships, contribute to their communities, and live with clarity rather than reaction.

Ultimately, the episode asks a simple but important question: what does healthy masculinity look like now, and how do you develop it deliberately instead of inheriting it unconsciously?

  • Think and Grow Better: A Simple Guide to Reaching Your Goals
    Feb 17 2026

This week’s conversation is inspired by the principles in Think and Grow Rich, but instead of reviewing the book, we explore what those ideas look like when applied to real life.

We talk about the difference between wanting something and committing to it, how clarity of purpose changes the way you make decisions, and why belief isn’t just motivational language—it’s something built through repetition, action, and follow-through. The discussion centers on how mindset, persistence, and personal responsibility show up in everyday habits, creative work, and long-term goals.

Rather than chasing quick results, this episode looks at the slower process of aligning your thoughts, actions, and standards so progress becomes sustainable. We also unpack the tension between discipline and doubt, and why growth often requires continuing to act even when outcomes aren’t visible yet.

This is a conversation about applying timeless success principles in a modern context—less about wealth in the traditional sense, and more about building focus, direction, and consistency in the areas of life that matter most.

  • Why Self-Doubt Shows Up When You’re Actually Growing
    Feb 9 2026

Self-doubt is something almost everyone experiences — but very few people know how to talk about honestly. In this episode of Who Thought We’d Be Here?, we explore what self-doubt actually is, where it comes from, and how it shows up when you’re trying to grow, change, or move into a new chapter of life.

Rather than framing self-doubt as something to eliminate or “fix,” this conversation looks at why doubt often appears during moments of transition, ambition, and self-reflection. We talk about the relationship between self-doubt and identity, how comparison and overthinking fuel insecurity, and why confidence isn’t the absence of doubt — it’s learning how to move forward with it.

This episode also touches on how self-doubt can affect creativity, relationships, discipline, and decision-making, especially when you care deeply about the direction your life is going. We unpack the difference between healthy self-awareness and destructive inner criticism, and why learning to sit with uncertainty is a necessary part of personal growth.

If you’ve ever questioned your path, second-guessed your decisions, or felt stuck between who you are and who you’re trying to become, this episode offers a grounded, honest perspective on navigating self-doubt without letting it define you.

This isn’t about hype or motivation — it’s about understanding the inner tension that comes with becoming more intentional, self-aware, and aligned with the life you want to build.
