When a customer has a tire blowout on your rental trailer, who should pay for it? The customer or the rental company?

This is one of the biggest debates among trailer rental business owners. Some believe tire damage is simply the cost of doing business, while others believe customers should be responsible for the equipment they're renting.

In this episode of Trailer Hustle, I explain why I believe customers should be responsible for tire damage, but also how I use Discount Tire's replacement certificates to help save them hundreds of dollars.

I also share a real situation that happened today with one of my rental customers all the way in California and how we were able to get their tire replaced quickly and easily.

We also cover:
- Who should pay for tire blowouts on rental trailers
- What causes run-flat damage and heat rings on trailer tires
- Why customers often don't realize they're driving on underinflated tires
- How Discount Tire and America's Tire replacement certificates work
- My approach to reducing a customer's tire replacement expense to just $50 when eligible
- How good customer service can turn a bad situation into a five-star review
What do you think? Should rental customers pay for tire blowouts, or should rental companies consider it a normal business expense? Let me know in the comments!
