I've known Cody for many years, having neighboring businesses and shared clients from time to time and I was excited to have him on the podcast. As you'll hear, he was born and raised here in Monterey, came up through the music scene with his band Pride Subject, and became Monterey County’s first and only studio dedicated exclusively to body piercing which he established in 2013. I have attended The Fakir Intensives (basic & advanced) and the annual Association of Professional Piercers conference to further my piercing education. I have been a proud member in good standing with The Association of Professional Piercers since 2009. In addition to operating Vaughn Body Arts, I also work as an instructor for The Fakir Musafar Foundation (piercing workshop in San Francisco), volunteer with The APP, and have taught body piercing in the USA (APP/Fakir), Mexico (LBP), Russia (RuAPP) and Brazil (Gep). Benjamin Forest served 25 years in the Air Force before retiring this year. From an eclectic childhood and upbringing, to the regimented life and commitment of both the military and marriage, he has a very interesting story to tell. Now a civilian, Benjamin is on a quest for healing, spiritual awakening, and finding a new purpose. Scarred by life and the military, Benjamin is seeking alternative methods of healing and describes how psilocybin helped him heal.
