A proposito di questo titolo
Another special guest is chatting with our co hosts Narelle and Philip. This time it's the incomparable Brenton Geyer talking of his experiences as a drag performer and more!
Brenton Geyer likes to spend hot sunny days in cool dark bars. It is in such places that he has formed his appreciation for the artforms of the demimonde. He likes to surround himself with ringmasters & show ponies, dilettantes & deviants, and pansies & poseurs. Brenton finds inspiration in the madness of life, the quirky and the left-of-field. Despite all of this, he manages to get out bed most mornings with a can-do approach. His philosophy of life is to “listen hard and change fast”.
Named as a Community Legend by LGBTIQ+ radio station JoyFM, Brenton was the perfect person to share his life and lots of stories about his day's as a Drag Queen with our co hosts, a must listen for those of us who remember the 1990's in all of its glory!
Narelle and Philip are great fans of the art of Drag and do love watching 'RuPaul's Drag Race' on tv but they wanted to chat with someone who had lead a life as a drag artist but especially someone who had an alternate opinion on 'Drag Race'.
We hear all about the local Melbourne drag scene back in the 90's and how wild it was, particularly with Brenton's alter ego Stella in the thick of it getting up to much mischief and naughtiness.
The VICTORIAN PRIDE CENTRE spoken about in this episode is located at 79/81 Fitzroy Street St Kilda, VICTORIA and is Australia's first purpose built LGBTQ+Community Hub, it is a modern centre providing meeting space for LGBTQ+ groups, community services and advocacy.
