Venus retrograde is coming, and in this week's episode Yasmin explains what it actually means. Venus is the planet of love, money, beauty, pleasure and self-worth, and roughly every 18 months she appears to go backwards through the sky. This time she turns retrograde in Scorpio in early October before moving back into Libra, the same two signs she retrograded in back in October and November 2018.

In this episode:

• What Venus retrograde is, and why "reevaluate" is the key word for it
• Why old loves (and old friends) tend to come back when Venus goes backwards, including the story of a man who turned up at Yasmin's door asking how to win back his ex
• Why it's wise to hold off on big, expensive purchases chosen for their looks
• The Venus star, and why it's worth scrolling your photos back to October and November 2018
• Why this won't be a replay of 2018: Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn and Neptune have all changed signs since then
• This week's astrology: the Sun opposite Neptune, the Sun trine Pluto and the Sun trine Uranus on the 28th

Key takeaways:

• Ask yourself: How much is this worth to me? Am I giving more than I'm getting? Is there a balance?
• Don't fear retrogrades. Venus wants harmony, and her retrograde is often about second chances.
• This affects everyone, not just Libras and Scorpios. Your Rising sign shows which area of your life is up for review.
• Be careful with big-ticket aesthetic purchases while Venus is retrograde. Your taste might be a little off.
• Journal on the Scorpio questions: What do I really, really want? What am I frightened of losing? Where have love and power become entangled?
