Send Comments, Questions, Thoughts

Jesus rode into Jerusalem to shouts of praise and waving palm branches, but He didn’t arrive the way anyone would script a King. He chose a donkey. That one detail from John 12 cracks open a bigger question we all face when life feels shaky: what happens when God doesn’t match our expectations, but still shows up with perfect purpose?

We’re kicking off a special season aimed at building a faith that lasts. I still keep everything anchored in Scripture, but I’m also leaning into a fresh rhythm that helps us live the Word, not just study it. “The Unsermon” comes from years of hearing sermon after sermon, then realizing God can reveal a side of Himself we never noticed- the kind that can’t be boxed in by tradition, routines, or our assumptions about what He “should” do.

Walking through John 12:12-16, we look at why Jesus coming in low and humble matters, and how it proves God works through the unlikely, the unconventional, and the unexpected. We pause to pray together, and we talk honestly about compassion, mercy, and how differently the world labels broken people compared to how God sees His kids.

If you’re ready to trust God beyond the “here and now” and build something that holds up under pressure, hit play, subscribe for more, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find the show.
