You pick up your phone, put it down, then reach for it again two minutes later. Nothing is “wrong”, yet relaxing feels weirdly impossible. That moment is exactly where body trust gets confusing: the signal is real, but the meaning is not always what you think.
We talk through a more honest definition of trusting your body and why it does not mean obeying every craving, every anxious thought, or every “I can’t be bothered” feeling. I share a simple process I use with clients to move from signal to action: notice the cue, interpret it with context, test a small choice, then learn from the result. That learning loop is what turns body awareness and interoception into something practical, not vague.
We also unpack the difference between being physically tired, tired but wired, and bored. Boredom is not a character flaw; it can be a nervous system signal that your current level of mental engagement is not right. With a smartphone within reach, scrolling becomes the easiest form of stimulation, but it often fails to deliver genuine satisfaction. We explore alternatives that match what you actually need, including calming inputs for overwhelm and engaging inputs for under-stimulation, plus questions you can ask yourself like “Do I need calming or engaging?” and “Am I doing this from joy or escape?”
If you want better sleep, more resilience, and fewer nights lost to mindless scrolling, press play and try these experiments with me. Subscribe, share with someone you care about, and leave a review so more people can find their way back to their body.
