We were all wondering where Maeve was during this time and we got a full episode laying the groundwork for what she is suppose to do, but also capable of in future episodes. Bernard learns that he might be a checks and balances system that Dolores has put into place so she doesn't go too far. We finally meet Ciroc and learn that there is a reason he has gotten to where he is, and is also a man that takes the proper precautions.
