In Psalm 138, we see that God is always at work in the lives of His people. Through praise, trials, and answered prayer, God is shaping us to look more like Christ. What feels like loss is often God making room for something better.

In Psalm 137, we see a people in exile, asked by their captors to sing songs of worship for entertainment — and the parallels to modern life are striking. The world still wants the blessing without the God. But Babylon fell, Edom is gone, and every knee will bow. Until then — sing.

In Psalm 136, we see a command to give thanks to God, with many substantive reasons why. But there is a core reason that governs the entire psalm. Therein lies one of the most awe inspiring attributes of the God we serve.

In Psalm 132, we see the longing of God’s people for His presence — and the reminder that His presence dwells where His people make room. This episode explores the call to prepare a place for the Lord in our daily lives, and the overflowing promises God gives when we do.
