  • Week 2 The Comfort Only God Can Give - The Beatitudes - Blessed Are Those Who Mourn
    Oct 15 2026

I want to welcome you to Walking In the Living Word Ministries. This week 2 of our 16-week journey where we will be looking at the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount. i would say today's message talks about bring your sorrow, confession, and longing before the God who comforts His people. Our big idea for this week is: Kingdom comfort belongs to those who refuse numbness and bring their sorrow to the Father. There is a kind of Christianity that tries to smile too quickly. It rushes past grief, quotes promises before tears are allowed to fall and assumes that faith means never feeling sorrow deeply. But Jesus does not begin His Kingdom sermon by telling mourners to cheer up. He blesses the. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." That means there is a holy kind of sorrow that God does not despise. There is grief that becomes a meeting place with grace. Before you look at this podcast, let me ask you what sorrow have you learned to carry quietly? Some wounds are obvious, but others are hidden beneath responsibility, busyness, humor, service, or spiritual language. Maybe you are grieving a loss no one sees. Maybe you are mourning a sin you have tried to excuse. Maybe you are tried from acting as if you are fine. Jesus does not shame mourners. He calls them blessed because the God of the Kingdom meets His people with comfort.

  • Week 1 The Doorway to the Kingdom
    Oct 7 2026

i want to welcome you to Walking In the Living Word Ministries. This week we will start our 16-week series on the Beatitudes and the Sermon the Mount. We will break each Beatitude down so hopefully we can understand them better then we will drive into the meat of the Sermon on the Mount. I like to call the Beatitudes - the Kingdom Character. The theme for the first 7 episodes is, Jesus opens with the Sermon on the Mount by describing the blessed life of His Kingdom through all eight Beatitudes. Which are humble dependence, holy sorrow, meekness, hunger for righteousness, mercy, purity, peacemaking, and faithful endurance under pressure. This week is the doorway to the Kingdom.

  • Week 15 The Armor of God - Part 4: Prayer and Perseverance in the evil Day
    Sep 23 2026

I want to start this with honesty and with a shepherd's burden, because many believers are trying to fight spiritual battles while living with a quiet famine of prayer. They love the Lord, but their prayer life has grown thin, irregular, hurried, or weary. Some only pray when they are in a crisis. Some feel guilty every time the subject of prayer comes up because they know how often they have neglected it. Some are simply tried. They have been carrying burdens, resisting temptation, serving others, and absorbing the pressure of life, and now they find themselves spiritually worn down. Church, that is exactly why this week matters. When Paul finishes naming the armor of God in Ephesians 6, he does not move away from the battle. He moves to prayer, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance." Prayer is not an appendix to the armor. Prayer is the atmosphere in which the armor is worn.

  • Week 14The Armor of God - Part 3: The Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit
    Sep 16 2026

Welcome to Walking in the Living Word Ministries as we begin Week 14. We now come to the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I want to begin this week by drawing our attention to a real problem with most believers and that is they are trying to fight spiritual battles with unguarded minds and unopened Bibles. They love the Lord, but their thoughts are unsettled, their assurance is fragile, their inner life is vulnerable to accusation, fear, confusion, and their relationship to the Word of God have become thin, irregular, or neglected altogether. Church understand, this is not a small problem. The mind is often where battles rage, and the Word is the one of God's appointed means for keeping His people steady, sober, and strong.

They love the Lord, but their thoughts are unsettled, their assurance is fragile, their inner life is vulnerable to accusation, fear, confusion and their relationship with God is almost nonexistence. Paul tells in Ephesians 6:17, " And take up the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God," which is our main scripture for this week's episode.

  • Week 13 The Armor of God - Part 2: Staning In Gospel Peace and The Sheild of Faith
    Sep 10 2026

Welcome to Walking In The Living Word Ministries as we begin Week 13. As we continue in the armor of God, we now come to two more beautiful and necessary pieces of that armor: the preparation of the Gospel of Peace and the Shield of Faith. I want to just jump right into this episode and ask everyone to be honest and ask yourself are you one of these individuals that believe in God, but you are not standing in peace, and you are not living by faith. Maybe you are anxious, unsettled, easily shaken, and quickly overwhelmed by the pressures around you. Some of you live with a low hum of fear in the background of your days. Some of you are constantly bracing for bad news. You are sincere but inwardly you are restless and reactive. Understand this clearly church, that this is not a small matter, because the enemy knows how to trouble the mind, disturb the heart, and fire darts of fear, accusation, temptation, and unbelief into you very soul. Paul gives us Ephesians 6:15-16 to help us understand how we are to fight our battles. This whole episode is not decorative language. This is how believers stand in hard days, when the storms rage and when we go through the valleys. Gospel peace steadies the footing, and faith protects the soul when the darts begin to fall.

  • Week 11 The Armor of God Part 1: Called to Stand Firm in Truth and Righteousness
    Sep 2 2026

We are now entering the final five-week movement of this series by opening Ephesians 6:10-18 as a sustained discipleship journey. I want to bring to light a burden on my heart because I truly believe many believers are trying to stand in evil days without realizing how badly they need the armor of God. Some are weary. Some are confused. Some are sincere, but they have grown vulnerable to compromise, distraction, fear, or quiet spiritual drift. Church understand, this is not a light matter. Paul does not present the armor of God as a decorative imagery or spiritual drama. Paul presents it as the calling of believers who must stand firm in the strength of the Lord in an evil day. This week we begin with truth and righteousness becasue if these two are weakened, everything else in the Christian life begins to wobble. Ephesians 6:14 speaks of the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. Truth matters becasue John17:17 and Psalm 119:105 teach that God's Word sanctifics, guides and steadies His people. Righteousness matters becasue Romans 3:21-26 teaches the righteousness of Christ counted to sinners theough faith, while Romans 6:1-14 teaches the union with Christ produces a Holy life beacuse we are united with Christ in His death, and resurrection which changes their identity and empowers them to live a holy life and not for sin.

  • Week 11 The Kingdom Knights and Broader Church Foundation
    Aug 27 2026

As we look at this week's episode we will talk about how a discipleship framework serves the church best when it strengths the whole life of the congregation rather than becoming a silo of committed participants on the side. That is why we must think about broader church formation. Church hear me; if a tool helps a few people while the wider body remains shallow, disconnected, and spiritually undernourished, then something is still missing. The question is not merely whether a framework can run a successful cohort. The question is whether it can help a church become more fruitful, more prayerful, more repentant, more loving, more stable, and more useful in the hands of God over time. Ephesians 4:15-16 teaches that the whole body grows as it speaks the truth in love and as every part does its work under the headship of Christ. Understand the church does not manufacture her own life, invent her own identity, or sustain herself by human energy. Every grace that nourishes the body flows from the risen Lord. Christ gives truth to steady us, gifts to equip us, love to bind us and His Spirit to make obedience possible.

  • Week 10 The Kingdom Knights framework as a Practical discipleship Ministry
    Aug 19 2026

Main texts for Week 10 are Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Peter 5:8; Corinthians 10:4-5; Psalm 139:23-24; Mark 10:45 and 2 Corinthians 5:20. I want to begin this week with honesty and a pastoral burden. So far in this series, we have talked about why discipleship matters, what a disciple is, why churches struggle, the model of Jesus, the Great Commission, the foundations of discipleship, the discipleship culture, relational disciple-making, and the need for intentional pathways. But now we have a practical question; what can help the church take all of those convictions and give them shape in a way people can actually remember, practice, and pass it on? That is where a practical framework can serve the church well. Not because a framework saves anyone. Not because a framework is the power of God. But because many believers need help moving from vague good intentions into concrete habits of obedience. I want to say that tenderly, because there are many sincere Christians who truly love the Lord, but they are weary, inconsistent, distracted, and unsure how to move forward. Please listen to this episode and I truly believe it will help you to understand and put handles on the areas of your walk that need help.
