Together, we have walked through thirteen days of Scripture, listening for God’s voice in both silence and storm. Today, we continue our journey in Job 35–37, where Elihu speaks—calling our attention upward, beyond our suffering, to the greatness and justice of God.

In these chapters, we wrestle with hard questions: Does our righteousness benefit God? Does our sin diminish Him? Why does God sometimes seem silent in our pain? Elihu reminds us that God is far above yet deeply attentive, teaching us through hardship, humility, and awe.

As the storm clouds gather and God’s presence draws near, we are invited to pause—no longer demanding answers but standing in reverence before the Almighty. This episode encourages us to trust God’s wisdom even when explanations elude us and to prepare our hearts for the voice of the Lord.

Today is Day 11, and our reading comes from Job chapters 29 through 31.

In these passages, we hear Job speaking from the depths of his soul. He remembers the life he once lived—the honor, respect, and closeness with God he used to know. As he reflects on the past, Job also defends the integrity of his character, declaring his faithfulness and innocence even in suffering.

These chapters remind us that it’s okay to grieve what was, to wrestle with unanswered questions, and to bring our full, honest selves before God. Job’s words invite us to examine our hearts, our choices, and our trust in God—even when life doesn’t make sense.
