DC will hype you up, book you, repost you, smile in your face… and still have you questioning your sanity by Monday morning.

This week, NuNu Paris and Raffi unpack the aftermath of the Rush DC interview, the reality of being included in legal exhibits, and what happens when nightlife drama leaves the group chat and enters real life. From protecting your livelihood to feeling blackballed in certain spaces, we’re talking honestly about the emotional cost of being visible, outspoken, and “a lot” in Washington, DC.

We also celebrate THREE YEARS of Reggaeton Brunch, reflect on the obstacles that almost broke us, and discuss what it means to keep creating queer nightlife spaces in a city that can sometimes feel politically exhausting, socially transactional, and emotionally humid.

In this episode, hosts NuNu Paris and Raffi decode the pop culture “Sagittarius era crisis” hitting some of the biggest names in entertainment — from Taylor Swift’s fan backlash to Jay-Z’s Epstein associations, Nicki Minaj’s political saga, and the Tyra Banks / ANTM Reality Check controversy. We also spotlight larger news moments — like the fallout from a controversial ICE fatal shooting case and a beloved child star’s health update — and ask, what are we really learning? This isn’t astrology — it’s accountability with a side of receipts.

In this episode of Wait! Don’t Do It!, we’re talking about what happens when fandom turns into blind loyalty — and why right now is not the time to shut your brain off. From Nicki Minaj’s controversial political pivot and internet rants, to the Grammys becoming a full-blown political stage, we break down what’s actually happening versus what’s just trending online.

We unpack Bad Bunny’s historic Grammy win and his powerful “ICE out” speech, what the continued ICE presence across the country really looks like, and what all of this means for us — especially as queer people, people of color, immigrants, and Washington, DC residents. We also talk about how celebrities use (or avoid) their platforms, why misinformation spreads so fast, and how cultural moments can reveal bigger truths about America right now.

Plus, DC gets its own segment as we react to the recent winter storm, the city’s lack of preparation, and what it exposed about infrastructure, leadership, and community care.

This episode is a reminder to stay curious, stay informed, and stay critical — even when it’s your fave. Because loyalty without accountability? Wait… don’t be a Barb.

What does it actually mean to be an adult in 2026? Is it knowing how to cook real meals, keeping up with car maintenance (including discovering—shockingly—that back brakes exist), or having your finances and relationships “figured out”?

This week on Wait! Don’t Do It, NuNu Paris and Raffi break down modern adulthood—household skills, transportation, relationships, money, and life planning—while questioning who decided these rules in the first place. We also take time to discuss a recent and deeply troubling news story: the detention of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos by ICE in Minnesota, and what moments like this reveal about responsibility, empathy, and the systems adults are expected to navigate and challenge.

Plus, we play Who Taught You That?!, a game exposing the adult skills we were never taught, learned embarrassingly late, or are still pretending to understand.

Lesson of the week: Wait! Don’t Call Yourself an Adult Yet—because growth is ongoing, and responsibility means more than checking boxes.

It’s New Year’s Day, and we’re starting 2026 exactly how we mean to go on — informed, opinionated, and just messy enough. From DC bar drama and unpaid workers, to drag world headlines, billionaire Beyoncé, a historic new mayor in NYC, and America’s upcoming 250th birthday, we break it all down with one guiding principle: accountability matters. Every story ends with the same lesson — wait… don’t drop the ball.

Let’s be serious — 2025 was a lot. So before we move on, NuNu Paris and Raffi are sitting down to do what we do best: laugh, reflect, and tell the truth.

In our final episode of the year, we recap the highs, the heartbreaks, and the absolutely unhinged moments that defined 2025. From sell-out shows, photo shoots, Reggaeton Brunch turning two, and seeing Cowboy Carter live, to job changes, political chaos, grief, growth, and the memes that kept us sane — nothing is off the table.

We talk about:

• Creative wins and career pivots
• Two years of Reggaeton Brunch and what community really means
• Beyoncé, music, memes, and viral moments
• National politics, DC changes, and living through “unprecedented times” again
• Loss, resilience, and how joy and grief can coexist

It’s funny. It’s honest. It’s a little emotional.
