  • Charlestown's Code of Silence | Mark Lemieux on Crime & the Su Taraskiewicz Case
    Oct 15 2026

Update: We’ve edited portions of this episode to remove certain names out of consideration for families and community members. This was a voluntary editorial decision and does not mean that mentioning those names was improper. Our goal is to discuss the history thoughtfully while keeping the focus on the investigations and lessons shared by our guest.

This week on Wicked Honest True Crime, we welcome former law enforcement officer and author Mark Lemieux, who knows Charlestown's notorious code of silence firsthand. He lived the culture, witnessed the drug trade and criminal activity, and later worked in law enforcement.

What does Charlestown have to do with the unsolved 1992 murder of Susan “Su” Taraskiewicz?

The massive credit card fraud ring operating out of Northwest Airlines at Boston's Logan Airport extended far beyond the airport. Some of the names and connections intersected with Charlestown's criminal circles.

We'll discuss the culture of silence, the criminal networks operating throughout Greater Boston, and why people who know something sometimes refuse to speak.

We'll also ask Mark for his perspective on Su's murder, the challenges facing investigators, and whether someone might finally break the silence after 34 years.

Wicked Honest True Crime | Friday at 7 PM ET

Don't Forget Marks Book "Dead Silence" Coming out This Winter....

And... "I Promise to Come Home" by Richard Chase .....

Guest note: Retired law enforcement officer Mark Lemieux shares his personal recollections and perspectives on investigations and historical criminal cases. He is not speaking on behalf of any law enforcement agency, and his views do not necessarily reflect those of Wicked Honest True Crime. References to allegations, suspicions, or witness testimony should not be understood as findings of guilt. A person’s involvement or conviction in one case does not establish involvement in another. We welcome documented factual corrections.

  • One Conversation Changed Everything: The 2015 Break in Su’s Case
    Sep 11 2026

This Friday night at 7 PM, we’re joined by retired Revere Police Officer Mark DeSimone.

In 2015, one conversation involving Mark helped blow the investigation into Su Taraskiewicz’s murder wide open. What followed changed the trajectory of the case and ultimately led to a federal grand jury investigation in 2018.

Mark will take us inside that moment, what was revealed and why it mattered.

We’ll also be reminding everyone about Saturday’s vigil for Su at noon at Constitution Beach in East Boston. Thirty-four years later, Su’s family is still waiting for answers. Please watch Friday, then come stand with us Saturday and show that Su has not been forgotten.

  • He Was Watching Su’s Movements — But Who Was He Reporting To??
    Sep 4 2026

Tonight on Wicked Honest True Crime, we go back to an America’s Most Wanted tip in the Susan “Su” Taraskiewicz murder investigation — but this time, I went directly to the source.

I spoke to the man named in that tip.According to the tip, he was allegedly watching Su at Logan Airport the night she disappeared and knew when she was leaving.

So why was he watching her?

    And who did he tell?

We’ll also continue digging into Brooks Street, where the questions — and the connections we’re trying to understand — keep growing. And then there’s something I definitely didn’t expect. During this investigation, I discovered that someone I thought had been dead for years is actually alive.

Tonight, we’ll tell you what happened when I made contact, what was said, and why it matters as we continue following the information surrounding Su’s final hours.

Wicked Honest True Crime Friday with Dianne & Keri.

  • DNA, Brooks Street and “Kid’s” Story: What Really Happened to Su?
    Aug 28 2026

Tonight on Wicked Honest True Crime, we take another close look at the unsolved murder of Susan “Su” Taraskiewicz.

We break down how DNA evidence has changed since 1992, what is required for a profile to be entered into CODIS, and why someone should not assume they are safe simply because there has never been a match.

We also return to Brooks Street, the conversations allegedly happening before Su’s murder, and the story told by the source we have called “Kid.” Was he telling the truth? Were the people he identified really involved, or was he protecting someone else?

We will also share the latest information about Su’s September 12 vigil at Constitution Beach and explain how the community can show Su’s mother, Marlene, that her daughter has never been forgotten.

Join us as we separate what is known, what has been alleged, and what investigators may still be working to prove.

The $250,000 reward remains active. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Massachusetts State Police.
