This episode is a piece of about my journey as a woman who was once invisible, rising to the forefront. We still have a way to go, but we are positioned on the brink of something spectacular.

During this episode I discuss the coexistence of joy and oppression, as we live through unprecedented times. Joy is an active form of resistance for oppressed people. Folks who are marginalized have to make life work in spite of our circumstances. In this case, making life work, looks like finding joy in the margins. This episode is about the personal growth that experienced throughout my nearly 2 month break. I’m back, and refreshed. During my break from the podcast, I worked a lot of hours, and had a lot of time to reflect on what I want for the new year while on the clock. In this episode I talk about passion, growth, creating opportunity for yourself, and how visionary sanctum will be establishing it’s self IRL this year.

In this episode I discuss my experience here in Chicago as ICE makes there way through black and brown communities. I get into the mental, and emotional toll it has taken on myself, and my community.
