Healthcare, affordability, education, housing, taxes and Act 181 were all on the table. We talked about the rising cost of living, the challenges facing Vermont families and businesses, and LaClair’s call for more choices when it comes to healthcare, energy, housing and how Vermonters spend their hard earned money.
It was a conversation about where Vermont is today, where it may be headed, and what role state government should play in the lives of Vermonters.
Thanks to Rob LaClair for joining us this morning and bringing his perspective to the conversation.
LIVE every weekday morning at 9am on Facebook and YouTube. Always live, always local and never edited.
Rob LaClair is a Republican candidate for one of Washington County’s three Vermont Senate seats in the November 3, 2026 general election. He is a former Vermont House member who represented Barre Town from 2014 to 2022.
LaClair's campaign is built around the theme “It’s About Choices.” His platform emphasizes reducing taxes and the cost of living, expanding housing options, giving Vermonters more choices in healthcare and energy, and changing the education system to focus more heavily on student outcomes and vocational skills.
He announced his Senate campaign in April 2026 and is running in a Washington County race in which all three incumbent senators, Ann Cummings, Andrew Perchlik and Anne Watson, are Democrats. The other Republican candidates are Christopher Neddo and Peter Schmeeckle.
