Vasile Faklis is a licensed & board certified Orthotist and the third generation owner of Faklis Fit est. 1912.
Vasile’s grandfather was a master shoe maker from Symi, Greece. He immigrated to Tarpon Springs, Florida and founded the shoe store in 1912. The store evolved from shoe repair to department store and survived both World Wars, the Great Depression, Covid-19 Pandemic and everything in between. Faklis Fit continues selling shoes, shoe repair and custom orthotic services after 113 years in business.
