We’ve been loving Court Queens, written by Jordan Robinson and Emma Baccellieri, so we were thrilled to meet Jordan before a Valkyries game and chitty chat with her to talk about the book, her background, and women’s basketball!

This was Jordan's first game in Ballhalla!

Jordan is a journalist and longtime storyteller who has covered some of the biggest moments in women’s sports. And honestly, this conversation is also a perfect example of what we love most about the women’s basketball community. It’s joyful, curious, generous, and full of people who genuinely want to connect, share stories, support each other, and celebrate the game together!

We’re so happy Jordan is part of that community, and even happier we got to meet her IRL in Ballhalla.

And a huge thank you to Rémi Vorano for filming the first part of this video and helping us capture the moment!

In this episode, we’re talking about Aminata Gueye, the latest Valkyrie to sign an end-of-season contract, following the release of Nadia Fingall. She is our last regular roster Valkyrie to deep dive into, leaving us only with our development players left to discover: Ashton Prechtel and Miela Sowah.

Goodbye, and best of everything Nadia! Thank you for joining our beloved violet squad and remember "Once a Valk, always a Valk"!

In today's episode, we are digging into what we know about Aminata as she hits the ground running for the final game of the regular season (vs LA Sparks--- and what a game that proved to be!), with the playoffs just around the corner.

And Dear Listeners, we want to hear from YOU:

What should we ask Aminata when we interview her on Saturday?

Send us your questions, your curiosities, and anything you want to know about the newest French Valkyrie.

And finally, check out this fun one-minute reel we found featuring Aminata. We’re already excited to see what she brings to the Bay. She's so fun and so athletic! What a great combo :)

In this episode, recorded from the French Alps and the Jersey Shore, we recap the Valkyries’ incredible winning streak (eight straight at the time of recording, including five consecutive road wins), talk about missing Ballhalla, announce the launch of our Court Queens book club, reflect on the viral response to our Pride Game article, and then dive into the story of one of the Valkyries’ newest—not newest—players: Justė Jocytė.

Justė is a young Lithuanian guard who developed in France’s top professional leagues before becoming the Valkyries’ very first draft pick in 2025!!

Although she only joined the active roster this season, she’s been part of the Valkyries’ story from the very beginning and is firmly on basketball fans’ watch lists on both sides of the Atlantic.

We talk about her impressive basketball career thus far, what to expect from her moving forward, and even review a couple words we should all learn in Lithuanian.

Merci for listening, and as always…

Say less. Go Valks. Allez Les Violettes.
