VICTORY CIRCLE PODCAST | WESLEY OWENS | EPISODE 5

  • Riassunto

  • On our 5th episode of Victory Circle Podcast, I had the pleasure of having a conversation with Wesley Owens, my friend and classmate from elementary school.

We talked about his adventurous journey into entrepreneurship, the effects of the pandemic on his business and his mental health and his current endeavors as a venture capitalist.

Wesley, a native of Atlanta, Georgia is a successful coach, investor and mentor. He began his real estate career at the early age of 28 when he became involved in his family's real estate business.

Although much of his knowledge came as a result of trial and error, Wesley earned his real estate sales license and his mortgage broker license in the early 2000s.

As past President and CEO of a certified minority-owned staffing agency founded in 2012, Wesley worked closely with his team to provide staff augmentation, HR, and insurance solutions for clients across the country.

With annual revenues in the high eight figures, Wesley has supported numerous charities in the metropolitan Atlanta area including the American Cancer Society, Mothers and Daughters Against Cancer, the National Council of Negro Women, 100 Black Men - Atlanta Chapter and Operation Hope at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Wesley earned his MBA from Columbia University in 2022 and his bachelor's degree from Howard University in 1994. Wesley was recognized as one of Howard University's Distinguished Alumni after establishing a scholarship fund in his grandparents' name to support Howard University students majoring in business.

Wesley is the proud father of three children, daughter Mimi and sons WJ and Brandon.
