Hello there, and welcome back to episode 3 of Neurodiversity Campus, your go-to place for support and discussion of all things neuro-diverse. Brought to you by Passhe, the Professional Association of Specific Learning Difference Specialists in Higher Education.
Today we have a really interesting show and two great guests to join our discussion. Today we're going to look at the rise in popularity and accessibility of AI, and discuss its impact on Study Skills Support education and students. We'll look at some of the rapidly arising issues associated with AI and academia, in the hope of starting a discourse around this increasingly relevant and rarely debated topic. We've got two tutors for you to meet, who also happen to be part of Passhe's AI working group and who are experts in this growing field. We'll look at where the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable use in academia lie, the dangers of overuse and over reliance, and how the fear that they may be accused of cheating, can have an adverse effect on the mental health of neurodiverse students.
The Professional Association of Specific Learning Difference Specialists in Higher Education (PASSHE) is a pioneering organisation with over 20 years of dedicated service, representing specialists in dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and related neurodivergent profiles working within academic contexts. PASSHE promotes inclusive academic practice across the higher education sector through training programmes, resources and advocacy, upholding the right of all neurodivergent people to flourish in academic environments and beyond.
