A guest fell through. So instead, you get me — unfiltered, in the middle of a real shift — and honestly, this might be the most important episode I've recorded yet.

I've been pivoting toward CRO and VP Revenue roles. Not away from who I am — toward the most accurate version of it. This episode is me thinking out loud about why, and what I've come to believe about revenue leadership that most companies are getting completely wrong.

Three ideas I get into:

Revenue is upstream of sales. By the time a deal reaches a rep, the most important work is already done — or it isn't. The belief architecture that carries buyers through the funnel lives way before the first discovery call.

The CRO as category architect. The companies winning right now aren't competing on features. They're competing on worldview. That's a revenue motion — and it needs to be owned at the top.

GTM motion ≠ revenue motion. Getting in the room is not the work. Most companies build a robust GTM machine and wonder why revenue underperforms. The answer is almost always upstream.

This episode also marks a shift for Unmapped. We're not a marketing podcast. We're a podcast about how companies build belief that converts — and everything that follows from that.

Unmapped is hosted by Leah Block — market architect, category creator, and founder of Leah Block Creative. New episodes drop weekly.

Most GTM strategies don't fail at execution. They fail before anyone opens a single slide deck.

In Episode 2 of Unmapped, I'm making the case that the way we've been building go-to-market is structurally broken — and it's not a people problem or a budget problem. It's a systems problem.

Marketing, sales, product, and narrative are all pulling in different directions — not because teams aren't talented, but because no one built the connective tissue between them. The result? Campaigns that don't convert. Positioning that doesn't land. Pipeline that stalls for reasons no dashboard can explain.

That's what the Leah Block GTM Stack is designed to fix.

In this episode, I break down why siloed GTM thinking is costing companies at every stage — and how a unified, cohesive system changes everything from the first touchpoint to closed revenue.

If you've ever wondered why your GTM motion feels like it's always a step behind, this episode is your answer.

Some people find the map. I make it.

This is Episode 1 of Unmapped — and before we go anywhere, I need to tell you why I started this.

I've spent my career in the space before the space has a name. Before the category exists. Before the market knows it needs what you're building. I call it mapping unmapped territory — and it's less a skill I developed than an instinct I finally learned to trust.

In this episode, I share the origin of that instinct: where it came from, what it cost me not to listen to it, and why I built a whole philosophy — and now a show — around it.

If you've ever felt like you were ahead of something you couldn't quite explain yet, this one's for you.

Unmapped is for founders, builders, and market makers who are creating the future before it has a name.
