  • Are You Living by Default or Design? - episode 314
    Oct 20 2026

    Living by Default or Design.

    Which is it?

We follow the rules, meet expectations, check the boxes, and somewhere along the way, we forget to ask ourselves what we actually want.

My guest, Heidi Frye, calls this living by default instead of by design.

After years as a successful corporate executive, Heidi discovered that fulfillment wasn't waiting at the top of the ladder. It was waiting in the choices she hadn't yet given herself permission to make.

Today, she's traded chasing success for creating impact.

Because you don't have to keep living a life you never consciously chose.

Heidi is our guest this week on Unabashed You, in the series Now What, God? Discovering Your Next Assignment.

    Let’s talk.

  • Choose Your Hard: Because Easy Isn't Always Better - episode 313
    Oct 13 2026

How many opportunities have you talked yourself out of before you even started?

We call it being practical. Being realistic. Knowing our limitations. But sometimes it's just fear dressed up as wisdom or thought work that needs cleaning up.

This young woman has said yes to a full life. Danae Cosman, is a Christian life coach for parents of newborns, a homeschooling mom of five, and someone who describes herself as optimistic, friendly, and adventurous.

With Danae we are exploring what it means to ‘choose your hard’ and be grateful, that your hobbies don’t have to be visible, and that not one of us is a mere mortal.

Having a full life does not come wrapped up in a bow. There is growth in the uncomfortable. Just ask the butterfly.

You don't have to be fearless to move forward. You just have to be willing. And maybe that next YES will change more than you could imagine. There is only way to find out.

Danae is our guest this week. We are in the series Now What, God? Discovering Your Next Assignment.

This is Unabashed You. Let's talk.

  • Why Taking Messy Action is the Best Path Forward - episode 311
    Sep 29 2026

Right now Unabashed You Coaching is focused on helping women stuck in ‘what to do next’ reset their purpose with messy action. (This can certainly apply to the men too.)

Well, what is messy action? It’s the act of doing before you feel fully ready. It’s doing things at a B- instead of curating the perfect A.

You can only get better at something by practicing, sometimes over and over again. Sure ’thinking about things’ is fun but it will take decision and action to move forward.

We’ve got 5 reasons why messy action is not only a good idea, but the best idea for you. Today. Now.

  • You’re Not Done Yet - episode 310
    Sep 22 2026

Transitions. What comes after the big thing?

After the big thing: grown kids, career, relationship-loss (you name it), there is still you, and you are still here. You woke up today so that’s a pretty good sign.

But what do you want? Think about it. Make a list.

And you get to want what you want - you really do.

Why would the God who loves you deny you? I don’t think he does. Sure the timing might not be right or maybe it isn’t good for you. Those are good ‘nos’ from him.

Yet, how do we find his direction? How do we listen for his voice?

We’ve got 5 ways to help guide you into your next chapter. And if you want your own copy give us a shout atunabashedyou@gmail.com or go tounabashedyou.com for more. Your next chapter starts today.

  • Purpose: It’s Staring You in the Face - episode 308
    Sep 8 2026

Let’s start with the statement: The worst day of your life is only 24 hours.

This came out of the mouth of a 20 year-old and it stopped me in my tracks. Yes, that is so true when you think about it, and a great way to endure hard times. I marveled at the wisdom of Lawrence C. Harris. How could he arrive at the kinds of thoughts he shared during our conversation?

Lawrence had emailed me and asked if he could be a guest on the podcast. I liked that it wasn’t a formulaic request and I could feel his authenticity from afar.

He describes himself as a public speaker, author and advocate for teens and young adults to believe in themselves, think differently about their future, and make better choices. How empowering is that?

Here is the chat we had. It’s well worth the listen, and then tell me what you think.

You can find Lawrence at lawrencecharris.com.

  • 10 Practical Steps for What’s Next - episode 307
    Sep 1 2026

In our youth we probably fantasized about growing up, getting married, having kids, maybe having a career but we likely didn’t imagine what our lives would be like after all of that.

    I know I didn’t.

So this episode we are looking at 10 practical ways to discover what’s next because you’re not done yet.

It’s the opener for the series Now What, God? Discovering Your Next Assignment.

You don’t have to know exactly what comes next. You just need to be ‘brave enough’ to take a small step forward.

    That’s your challenge.

  • Come What May, and Love it - Part 2 (episode 306-2)
    Aug 25 2026

Her heart is for the stay-at-home mom.

She wants each one to choose happiness through cleaned up thoughts, and simple strategies. While it may sound like a tall order Nicole Gardner is well aware of how important the role of mother is in having six herself, and being one of ten.

Since becoming a coach she better understands how we can transform our lives by changing our thoughts which will result in showing up differently, even happier. Nicole has done the work herself and it changed her life.

Nicole is our guest this week for our series What’s with All the Coaches and Why you Might Want One. This is part two of our conversation.

You can find her on Instagram at Mom Coach Nicole.

  • Come What May, and Love it - Part 1 (episode 306-1)
    Aug 18 2026

Nicole Gardner is bubbly, energetic and engaging - those would be my three words to describe her.

She is already a certified life coach and is working towards a second certification.

One of the things she keeps handy is the idea that life is 50/50, there’s some good stuff and some that’s not, no matter what. You get to choose how to look at and it will be transformative if you let it.

Her family has a motto, something they say nightly after prayers, Come what may, and love it. It is all at once hopeful, present-minded and brave not to mention inspirational. Her clients will definitely get a lot of goodness from working with her.

Nicole is our guest this week in our series What’s with All the Coaches and Why you Might Want One. This is part one of our conversation.
