An Uber driver picks up the wrong passenger at 3 a.m., and by the time he realizes it, the rideshare app won't let him cancel the trip.

Danny Reyes has three rules: confirm the name, confirm the destination, never ask questions. Tonight he breaks all three. He answers a surge request outside a dead roadside motel, and the passenger who gets in the back seat isn't the rider on his screen. As the miles pass, the clock stops making sense, his daughter's voice answers a call she shouldn't, and the headlights in his rearview mirror won't fall behind.
