In this conversation, she talks about her experiences with racial discrimination and challenges when joining the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in 1942; her relationship with Mary McLeod Bethune; meeting with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt; and why she became an attorney after meeting Edith Sampson.

    CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH: JOE DUDLEY (1937 - ) Long before Dudley was featured on Chris Rock’s ‘Good Hair’, he made a stop on the set of Cara Live! Similar to Madam C J Walker, in 1957, he invested $10 in a Fuller Products hair kit and began selling hair care products. By 1975, he formed Dudley Products Company in Greensboro, NC and employed approximately 400 sales people. In 1988, he opened Dudley Cosmetology University with 8 strategically located schools. His company has been listed in the top 50 in Black Enterprise Magazine’s Top 100 Black Owned Businesses. The company has a global presence and is available in Canada, Brazil, Zimbabwe, South Africa, The Bahamas and the Caribbean. #LivingLegend
